could make his full debut for on Wednesday with Anthony Martial a doubt for the trip to .

The Frenchman started Saturday’s 2-1 win against , having been a doubt for the game.

However, he lasted just 45 minutes and had to be substituted at half-time for Antony.

Weghorst was signed as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo following his departure in December but the Dutchman’s arrival was in part down to Martial’s persistent injury problems.

The Frenchman is now a doubt for the trip to Selhurst Park and that could open up the opportunity for Weghorst to at least make his debut in London.

Though Erik ten Hag may be reluctant to start Weghorst, he will be tempted as the 30-year-old is the only recognised centre forward in Martial’s absence.

United can leapfrog rivals City by winning at Palace, with Pep Guardiola’s side taking on Tottenham at the Etihad 24 hours later.

The Red Devils travel to Arsenal on Sunday and a win against Palace would put them within six points of the Gunners before that match.
