Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk has a lot of admirers in the Premier League, but it is French side Nice who are reportedly leading the race for his signature.
Arsenal, Newcastle, Brentford and have all been linked with the Shakhtar Donetsk star, who has been labelled the ‘Ukrainian Neymar’ by some observers.
However, report that Nice are now best placed to sign him either in the January transfer window or after the current season, in next summer’s transfer window.
However, Newcastle and Arsenal especially will still fancy their chances of snapping up the Ukrainian as the battle for his signature continues.
The Magpies are reportedly ready to blow their rivals out of the water with a huge £50m bid in January, which the Ligue 1 side would not be able to compete with, while the Gunners have already been praised by Mudryk.
Asked about a desire to move to England, Murdyk said: ‘Yes. I think every guy dreams about the Premier League.
When asked specifically about Arsenal he said: ‘Yes, yes. It’s hard to say but Arsenal is a very good team. Very good coach, I like the way they play.’
The likes of Sevilla and Bayer Leverkusen have also been linked with Mudryk, who made his senior Shakhtar debut in 2018 and has picked up eight caps for Ukraine.
He has begun to catch the eye in the Champions League as well this season, scoring two goals in two games, firstly in a 4-1 win at RB Leipzig and then in a 1-1 draw with Celtic.
