Arnaut Danjuma has taken a sly dig at after turning his back on a move to the club at the 11th hour.

The Dutchman completed a six-month loan deal to Tottenham on Wednesday after Spurs moved quickly to sign the former Bournemouth winger.

Danjuma had been in Liverpool to sign for Everton and he had even posed for photos and done club media duties after completing a medical with the Toffees.

However, following ’s sacking, Danjuma was put off a move to the blue side of Liverpool.

Tottenham then struck quickly to match Everton’s offer and Danjuma completed a move to north London on Wednesday.

And, in a dig at Everton, Danjuma says it was a ‘no-brainer’ to join Spurs instead of the Toffees.

‘I’m delighted to be here,’ said Danjuma.

‘Obviously, this opportunity is very important to me. I’m just really happy to be here.

‘To be honest with you, as soon as Tottenham Hotspur came through, it was a no brainer. It is a massive club with a brilliant coach, brilliant staff and the facilities are obviously unbelievable. So, for me, I’m very, very excited to be part of the team.

‘I hope to be positive, hope to leave a good impact, hope to be able to prove my qualities as a player, hope to give something new and something enthusiastic for the fans. And obviously aim for the highest possible in every competition we are competing in.’
