Alejandro Garnacho set to sign new Manchester United deal ‘imminently’ after rejecting Real Madrid

has verbally agreed a new deal to stay at and an announcement over a five-year extension is ‘imminent’, according to reports.

The teenager has burst onto the scene this season and his electrifying performances have alerted Europe’s elite.

The Madrid-born Argentine joined United from in 2020 for a fee of around £350,000 and he’s been heavily linked with a move to .

The La Liga giants are said to have met with Garnacho’s representatives at the end of last year to discuss a move to the Bernabeu, given the winger’s current deal at Old Trafford expires in 2024.

With just 18 months left on his deal and earning £4,000-a-week, Garnacho could earn substantially more elsewhere and receive a large signing-on fee.

However, AS report that Garnacho has agreed a new deal with United and that image rights are the only outstanding issue.

It’s said the deal could be confirmed in the next ‘few days’ and it will come as a huge relief to United.

The deal, which will run to 2028, will see Garnacho through to the age of 25.
